1947, Everson v. Board of Education. The Supreme Court announced: The First Amendment has erected a ‘wall of separation between church and state.’ That wall must be kept high and impregnable.
The Supreme Court changed the original intent of the first amendment. Instead of prohibiting the federal establishment of a Christian denomination it would now prohibit religious activities in public settings.

1962 Engel v. Vitale. The Supreme Court issued its first ruling completely separating Christian principals from education by striking down school prayer. NOTE THE FOLLOWING: In the 1882 ruling in favor of Christianity the Supreme Court cited 87 precedents. In the 1962 ruling they cited “0” precedents.

The United States of America entered into a moral decline of which we have not been able to recover.
The Founders use to teach their young people to want to do something good for God: be a senator, congressman, judge, doctor, lawyer, missionary, a pastor. Get out there where you can affect people with God’s principals. In the 40’s and 50’s Americans began to say that if you want to do something good for God then be a missionary or a pastor, but don’t get involved in politics. Charles Finney, the Great American Evangelist once said: the church must take the right ground in regard to politics….politics are a part of a religion in such a country as this, and Christians must do their duty to the country as part of their duty to God…He (God) will bless or curse this nation, according to the course they (Christians) take in politics.
Please pray for this nation according 2 Chronicles 7:14 and then seek divine guidance as to how you should participate in the political process!

Last but certainly not least we have become a nation of luke warm Christians. We have allowed the culmination of our daily activities and world events to overwhelm us and pull us away from our first love, Jesus Christ.
