Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking the assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.             Hebrews 10:23-25

We are called to spiritual warfare, not a sheltered life of comfort without pain.  Our comfort comes from knowing who God is.  We are called to be overcomers, not avoiders.  We are called to establish the kingdom of God and resist the kingdom of darkness.  God could remove us from the planet as soon as we are saved, but He chooses to leave us here to become spiritual warriors.  We must live through suffering with right reactions.  We must grit our teeth and endure adversity righteously to defeat the enemy's attacks.  We are the primary combatants upon whom rests the future.  This is not to exclude God.  He is our Creator, or Lord, and our victorious Savior.  He is our strength and our hope.  He ensured the conquest of the powers of darkness.  Nevertheless, He has chosen not to leave us out.  He has delegated responsibility to us.  He has chosen us as co-workers in the establishment of His Kingdom.  God is waiting for His people to rise up and take hold of the victory He purchased on the Cross.  He desires that we reach back to the Cross by praying in Jesus' name and bringing that total victory into every space and time. . . . . . . .     ~Dean Sherman~
Rick Warren wrote in the Purpose Driven Church that Fear is a self-imposed prison that will keep you from becoming what God intends for you to be.

When you really think about it, overcoming that self imposed fear and becoming what God intends for us to be is the adventure of a life time.  Nothing else can come close.

How do we overcome our fear of evangelism?

We can start by understanding that evangelism is a process not an event!  God doesn’t expect us to lead every person we meet in a prayer of salvation; however, He does expect us to lead them another step closer to the cross.  Remember, you are not alone!
